EdChoice Kentucky Welcomes New Board Members to Advance School Choice Movement

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Sept. 6, 2023) – EdChoice Kentucky President Moe Lundrigan announced four new school choice leaders have joined the organization’s Board of Directors. These new members will help advance EdChoice Kentucky’s mission to bring educational choice options to students across Kentucky.

The new EdChoice Kentucky members are:

  • Dr. Mary Beth Bowling, Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of Louisville

  • Darin Long, Ed.S., Superintendent of the Christian Academy School System

  • Dr. OJ Oleka, President of Oleka Management Consulting

  • Beth Ruehlmann, Director of Development for Catholic Schools, Diocese of Covington

“Kentucky students deserve school choice, and I’m grateful to these accomplished educators for volunteering their efforts to help every student succeed,” said Lundrigan. “Our new board members have been leaders in schools around the Commonwealth, and they bring the expertise and experience we need to advance the school choice movement.”

“As EdChoice Kentucky prepares for a consequential legislative session next year, we are pleased to welcome new Board members who will be outstanding advocates for educational freedom and for Kentucky students,” said EdChoice Kentucky Chair Charles Leis. “Our team is working every day to make school choice a reality in Kentucky, and we’re looking forward to passing the Students First Constitutional Amendment next year.”

In addition to the new board members, the following individuals serve on EdChoice Kentucky’s Board of Directors:
