Kentucky Families are Ready for School Choice

SHELBYVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 12, 2022) – EdChoice Kentucky President Andrew Vandiver released the following statement today after the Kentucky Supreme Court heard arguments over the Education Opportunity Account Act, which created the Commonwealth’s school choice program:

“Kentucky families are ready for school choice! Today’s arguments before the Kentucky Supreme Court made clear that there should be no further delay in empowering parents to make the right educational decisions for their children. Kentucky’s school choice program can have a transformational impact on the lives of our future leaders. We hope the justices will uphold the Constitution and the law and help Kentucky students excel in the classroom as they reach for their full potential. That’s the result that we’ve seen in similar lawsuits nationwide, and it’s what we expect to see in Kentucky.”
